Never Too Late for Love is a human-interest story highlighting connection, companionship and quality of life in an assisted living setting. The piece was developed to support community engagement and reinforce organizational values through authentic storytelling.

Objective

Create an emotionally resonant feature that:

  • Humanizes senior living

  • Builds trust with families and community members

  • Aligns with brand voice and privacy standards

  • Performs across multiple communication channels

Role and Responsibilities

I managed the project from concept through publication, including:

  • Interviewing the featured couple

  • Writing and editing the article for clarity, tone and sensitivity

  • Conducting an on-site photo shoot and capturing original photography

  • Securing photo releases and consent

  • Coordinating internal review and approvals

Distribution

The story was repurposed and published across multiple platforms:

  • Monthly organizational newsletter

  • Website blog

  • Social media feature

This approach maximized reach while maintaining consistent messaging.

Results

  • Praised by organizational leadership for quality and impact

  • Well received by readers and internal stakeholders

  • The featured couple requested a framed copy of the article, which was produced and presented to them

Why This Work Matters

This project reflects my approach to marketing and communications: using clear, ethical storytelling to create connection while meeting strategic goals. It demonstrates the value of well-crafted narrative content in healthcare and community-based organizations. Centering real people and their stories.
